They are designed to apply the right amount of pressure to gradually guide your teeth into place. Many patients like that clear aligners can be removed for short periods of time, such as to eat and drink, brush and floss, or attend special occasions. However, it is vital that clear aligners remain in the mouth as much as possible so they can do their job of straightening your teeth.
